Opportunities include serving as a trained hotline advocate, helping with outreach and community engagement, supporting special events like The Vagina Monologues and Athens’s Got Talent, or participating in organized Days of Service.
The Cottage, a Sexual Assault Center and Children’s Advocacy Center, provides crisis support, advocacy, and healing services for individuals and families impacted by sexual violence and child abuse. Our 24/7 hotline connects survivors and community members with confidential support and resources. The hotline is answered by staff and interns during business hours and by trained volunteer hotline advocates during nights, weekends, and holidays. We’re currently seeking compassionate volunteers to help answer hotline calls and ensure support is always available.
